1. Introduction

FieldCam is a field photography and documentation application developed by Om Apps Studio. The app allows users to capture photos and videos with visible time and location information for documentation and record-keeping purposes.

This Privacy Policy explains how FieldCam collects, uses, and protects user data. The app operates primarily on the user’s device and does not use developer-controlled servers.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Photos & Videos

• Photos captured using the device camera
• Videos recorded using the device camera and microphone
• Optional original (unstamped) media if enabled by the user

2.2 Audio (Microphone)

FieldCam accesses the device microphone only while recording videos to capture audio as part of the video file.

• Audio is recorded only when the user starts video recording
• No audio is recorded when the app is idle or in the background

2.3 Location Information

• Precise location (GPS-based latitude and longitude)
• Approximate location (network-based location)

Location data is collected only at the time of photo or video capture and only when the user grants permission. FieldCam does not collect location data in the background.

2.4 User-Provided Information

• Notes, labels, or categories entered by the user

2.5 Capture Metadata

• Date and time of capture
• Time zone at the capture location

3. How We Use Information

FieldCam uses collected data strictly to provide core app functionality:

• Capturing photos and videos with optional audio
• Adding visible time and location information to captured media
• Organizing and displaying captured records inside the app
• Exporting files only when explicitly initiated by the user

FieldCam does not use user data for analytics, advertising, marketing, personalization, or profiling.

4. Data Storage

All photos, videos, audio, and associated metadata are stored locally on the user’s device. FieldCam does not upload or transmit user data to developer-owned servers.

5. Data Sharing

FieldCam does not sell or share user data with advertisers or third parties. Data is shared only when the user manually exports or shares files using device-level sharing options.

6. Permissions Usage

• Camera: Used only to capture photos and videos
• Microphone: Used only to record audio during video recording
• Location: Used only during media capture when enabled by the user
• Photoes & Videos: Used to save and manage captured media on the device
• Notification: Used to inforn to user any information by app or Fireservice.

No permissions are accessed in the background.

7. User Choice & Control

• Users can grant or revoke camera, microphone, and location permissions at any time
• Video recording with audio works only if microphone permission is granted
• Users can delete captured media at any time

🔐 Google Drive Backup

FieldCam provides an optional Google Drive backup feature.

If you choose to enable this feature and sign in with your Google account, the app uses the drive.file permission to:

• Create a dedicated FieldCam backup folder in your Google Drive
• Upload photos and related files created by the app
• Edit or delete files created by FieldCam FieldCam does not access, read, or modify any other files in your Google Drive.
• Google Drive backup is completely optional and can be disabled at any time from the app settings. You can also revoke access from your Google Account permissions page: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

8. Data Deletion

Users may delete their data by:

• Deleting photos or videos within the app
• Clearing the app’s storage from device settings
• Uninstalling the FieldCam app

FieldCam does not retain copies of user data after deletion.

9. Children’s Privacy

FieldCam is not intended for children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
